How to Help Someone

Ask directly: "Are you thinking about suicide?" Asking does not increase risk — it shows you care.

Listen without judgment: Let them share their feelings. Don't minimize their pain.

Stay with them: Remove access to lethal means. Don't leave them alone.

Connect them to help: Call 988 together, or take them to an emergency room.

Follow up: Check in regularly. Your continued support matters.
